Program: Central | 115 East 13th Street, New York, NY 10003 What You'll Do As part of the HELP USA finance team, you'll be responsible for recording, analyzing, and disseminating financial information related to several of our transitional housing programs. You'll report to an Accounting Manager (who reports to one of two Controllers). Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and maintaining all billing submissions. Preparation of all recurring and adjusting journal entries. Analyzing variances in accounts from budgeted amounts. Ensuring accurate accounting and reporting integrity of assigned programs. Generating internal and external financial reports required by management and external funding sources on a timely basis to meet designated due dates. You're a good fit for this role if you have: Non-profit accounting experience, with knowledge of New York City DHS (Department of Homeless Services) and HRA (Human Resources Administration) reporting rules and regulations strongly desired. Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance. Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly understand and explain account variances from budgeted amounts. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation. Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Access, with knowledge of Lawson a plus. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. We Have GREAT BENEFITS!
