Director of Category Management Responsibilities: The Director of Category Management is responsible for developing, implementing, executing and monitoring the offerings, promotions, rewards, pricing, sales and gross profit across the Luke Family of Brands. The Director of Category Management is also responsible for managing the category management team and the team's performance as well as customer rewards offerings and vendor relationships. The Director of Category Management will work directly with ownership, operational leadership, accounting, IT and marketing to implement strategies and achieve goals. The Director of Category Management reports directly to the Regional Manager of Convenience Store Operations. Category Manager duties will include, but are not limited to: Responsible for all category management duties across multiple Luke Family of Brands brands Manage and adjust offerings to set the standard across markets and maintain relevance Manage all reward programs and promotions Deliver on sales goals, margin goals and company expectations Increase annual gross profit from by 5% annually Manage inventory levels, item level inventory and return on inventory capital Create and implement annual promotional programs and strategies Understand and react to competition and top-tier industry peers Work with service divisions in marketing, accounting and IT to implement and achieve goals Manage the performance and development of all employees associated with category management and rewards Experience/Qualifications: BA/BS Degree Microsoft Office skills Able to communicate in a professional and effective manager with employees, vendors and partners Able to thrive in a fast-paced, change-oriented, high-pressure environment Grocery/retail category management experience Experience in managing vendor relationships Experience in completing performance analysis across multiple platforms and providing senior leadership with specific opportunities and plans to drive performance Able to communicate complex and detailed information to multiple audiences with differing knowledge levels Preferred Skills: Accounting experience Price book experience Item level inventory experience Category management experience Ability to comprehend and analyze performance reports Ability to comprehend and analyze financial statements Hours: The Director of Category Management is a full time position and works a minimum of 40 hours per week Salary/Income: The Director of Category Management is an exempt, salaried position
