Job Details Level Experienced Job Location Columbus, OH Position Type Full Time Education Level 4 Year Degree Job Shift First Job Category Nonprofit - Social Services Career Opportunity Human Resources Coordinator We are looking for a full-time Human Resources Coordinator to join our NYAP team. This is a hybrid position with a requirement of going into our Columbus, Ohio office at least once a week with an option to work from home the other days. Candidates must also be open to traveling as needed for the role. Scheduled Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm Compensation: $42,000-45,000 annually. Position Summary This Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting Human Resources by doing special projects and assisting with general administration regarding onboarding and termination, benefits, payroll, training and development, legal compliance, and other human resource issues. Peace leave Responsibilities The Human Resources Coordinator will perform duties including, but not limited to: Providing timely assistance to team members regarding benefit and human resource questions and issues. Manages employee leave process. Preparing offer packets, benefit packets and other employee related information. Maintaining employee personnel files to ensure legal compliance. Coordinating employee benefit eligibility, enrollments, terminations, and payments. Preparing employee census information for insurance, 401(k), and other reports. Providing written and verbal employment verifications. Coordinating new hire paperwork, and new hire orientation meetings. Assisting with the creation of training manuals, HR manual, and employee handbook. Updating job descriptions, as needed. Coordinating and setting-up training classes or meetings. Responsible for coordination of background screenings for all prospective employees. Coordinating the performance appraisal processes. Assisting with creation, distribution, and collection of feedback from company-wide annual surveys. Assisting with providing research for policies, training, strategic planning, and other human resource issues. Coordinating benefit plan due diligence with Director, Human Resources. Provide local coordination and support for regional and corporate HR initiatives. Compiles quarterly documentation on applicants, workforce, and compensation for the board of directors' meetings. Works with vendors and staff to produce other requested reports and data analysis including, but not limited to turnover, contract compliance, EEO1, and compensation benchmarking and all areas of human resources. Processing invoices for Human Resources. Assisting with additional projects, as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred. 2 years' professional level experience in Human Resources. Knowledgeable in Human Resources practices and principles. Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
