Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Patternmaker is responsible for creating development patterns based on approved designs from the Design department, executing first samples from sketches, and supervising the sewing process in collaboration with sewers. With a strong knowledge of garment construction, they grade patterns to different sizes as specified and process patterns for photo or advertisement samples as needed. The role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. A true team player, the Patternmaker actively shares the workload to ensure deadlines are met.Patternmaker to make first samples, knowledge of garment construction, ability to work from a tech pack, grade samples, collaborate with designers, tech designers, sewers, supervise sewing of samples, team player.ResponsibilitiesCreate development patterns based on approved garment designs from the Design departmentWork from design sketches to execute the first pattern in collaboration with designersSupervise the sewing construction of the first sample in collaboration with sewersGrade patterns to different sizes using provided specificationsProcess patterns for photo or advertisement samples as neededCollaborate with tech designers on questions regarding garment construction and trims usedShare the workload as a team player, assisting with tasks such as cutting or supporting other divisions to meet deadlines Requirements 1 year + pattern making experience for apparel companyExcellent communication skills Strong organizational skills Strong Knowledge of garment construction Ability to multitask and prioritize Hybrid Work Schedule 4 days a week in the office, 1 work from home New York Pay Rate $42,000.00 - $55,000.00 We strive to hire and nurture amazing talent.
