Join us to do the best work of your career as a Senior Data Center Infrastructure Designer on our growing team at our headquarters in Boston, MA. (Seaport District three minute walk from South Station - Hybrid role) Our Technology Design Group works on mission critical projects supporting telecom, audiovisual and security systems. You will manage and deploy communications infrastructure systems in client's data centers. Collaborate with internal and external teams during the construction, implementation, and deployment process. Expand your skillset and have a voice by working outside the box with the way we approach projects at Vanderweil.Some of your responsibilities include the following:Participate in meetings with Design and Construction teams to document structured cabling and other telecommunication scope needs. Produce construction documentation, including symbol schedules, plan sheets with symbols and conduit, raceway riser, and cable tray details. Low-voltage and fiber optics cable sizing and routing.MDFIDF room layouts, power and cooling coordination with project MEP Engineers Create functionalschematic diagrams, path panel layouts and grounding details Redline markups of plans, sections, elevations, and details for the design and construction team Interact with the architect and construction contractors during the design phase, including response to RFI's, submittal reviews, etc. Visit project sites to evaluate workmanship and design intent, compose survey reports, and guide contractors.
