Job Title : Housekeeper Reports to: Director of Housekeeping Status:Non-Exempt Job Type:Full-time Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Mountaintop's actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process. Position Summary: Employees are expected to work as a team for the betterment of the department; to take pride in their work with a goal to achieve the highest standard of CLEAN and take a personal responsibility for understanding how to provide the services offered by the department through the training program provided. Employee will be taught how to achieve these standards and what cleaning products will be used for each task. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Review written instructions on individual home found on Housekeeping Checklist. Strip all beds, gather all used linens, and put in black linen bags to be brought to Laundry Facility. Before starting to clean, remake all beds with clean linens found in closet. Check that blankets and duvets are clean and devoid of stains Thoroughly clean all homes by level, with the main level being done last. Vacuum carpets and make sure they are spot free. Dust all areas of the house. Clean all bathrooms, wipe down cabinet fronts and drawers. Clean drawers in dressers and cabinets. When cleaning the kitchen area, make sure all small appliances are cleaned. Clean window by kitchen sink. Wipe down all cabinet doors and drawers. Check all patio doors and windows for prints or pet smudges. Clean hanging light fixtures as needed. Sweep and clean out fireplaces, including outside fireplaces, restock with firewood. Blow off decks and outside furniture, clean and straighten furniture. Blow off front porch and walkways as needed. Properly fill out Housekeeping Department Work Order, keeping accurate record of hours used for cleaning and noting anything found when cleaning such as insects, mice droppings or damage to personal property. Make sure glass on front door is clean. Make sure all doors are locked and a second person checks the front door. When the house is completed call the Manager for a walk through. Fill out the Housekeeping Department Work Order and turn it in to the Manager. Qualifications: Ability to understand and follow directions. Ability to understand and meet Mountaintop's standards for health, safety, and excellence. Ability to remain alert and focused in all Housekeeping environments. Ability to work effectively with Housekeeping Team Members. Detail-oriented and thorough. Experience: Housekeeping experience. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods walking or standing. Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 35 pounds at a time. Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays as needed. Evening shifts upon request. Must be able to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently. Must frequently immerse hands in water.
