JOB TITLE: Assistant Buyer, Men'sREPORTS TO: Director of Men's MerchandisingJOB PURPOSE:The Assistant Buyer, Men's supports and collaborates with the TOM FORD Fashion, Americas Merchandising Team in the day-to-day management of all Men's product categories. The Assistant Buyer, Men's works closing with the Director of Merchandising, Men's and the Retail Teams to execute the business strategy, supporting the buying process, allocating and distributing to theĀ TOM FORD Fashion Americas stores, in accordance with company strategic business plans.TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIESDriving Men's strategies and priorities through Tom Ford Americas Region and work directly with the supervisor to deliver commercial planUnderstand opportunities, risks and best practices for enhancing brand efficiency in the market, monitor market trends and inventory opportunities for proactive actionSupport collection launch plans, build vital retailmerchandising tools, compile retail feedback & display imageryConstantly monitor sell-thru by door and consolidate product to maximize sales Along with the Director supervision, direct responsibility of Leather Goods, Shoes and Underwear product categories in terms of sales performances, merchandise deliveries, benchmarking and new business opportunities, pricing and markdown proposals Liaise with third party vendors to ensure timely delivery of merchandiseMaintain weekly shipping reports and communicate opportunitiesrisks to buyersAssist in analyzing business reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basisAccurately reconcile receipts with strong attention to detail and communicate any issues that ariseEnsure price events are entered, set up properly & accurately loggedAd hoc reporting as needed and support for the buying team in day-to-day functions and responsibilitiesPartner with e-commerce merchandising and photo teams to ensure product accuracyAttend weekly store calls to discuss needs & opportunities, gathering store feedbackBuild and maintain buy books, product trainings and action plan documents Preparation & Support before, during and after buying session 4 times a yearAssist during market with hindsight reporting, product selection and assortment (with additional direct responsibility on Shoes, Leather Goods and Underwear)Purchase Order entry, changes and cancellationsQUALIFICATIONS1-2 years of experience in merchandising, buying andor planning rolesStrong analytical and quantitative skills and passion for the fashion industryHigh level of proficiency in retail math, Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups), Power PointBackground in Men's (ready-to-wear or shoes and leather goods) is a plusPrevious e-commerce experience is a plusStrong organizational and analytical skill set with fashion business acumenExcellent organizational skills and problem solvingAbility to remain flexible and adjust priorities to handle time wisely in a fast-paced environment Sense of urgency, strong attention to detail and ability to provide consistent follow-upStrong presentation, listening, verbal and written communication skillsAbility to build strong working relationships with cross functional teamsAbility to travel domestically
