The Alumni Relations Coordinator will advance and support engagement opportunities that build and strengthen the William Paterson University alumni community of nearly 89,000 graduates. Reporting to the Executive Director of Alumni Relations, the part-time Alumni Relations Coordinator will work closely with the Alumni Relations team. Duties and responsibilities will focus on alumni engagement events and activities, alumni communications and administrative functions, with a goal of meaningfully engaging graduates in the life of the University. This individual will implement strategies that foster alumni connections through the key modes of engagement: philanthropic, volunteer, experiential and communication. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES •Provides logistical support for alumni engagement events and activities, including venue research and bookings, catering, audio visual, RSVP management, event preparation, post-event reconciliation and more. •Assists with outreach including mailings, phone calls, email invitations and follow up. •Provides on-site event support for alumni events, as needed, and assists with Institutional Advancement and / or University-wide events, as appropriate. •Supports the department's digital engagement initiatives and assists in the development of impactful digital communications on social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, as well as e-mail communications via Constant Contact. •Assists with data analytics and metrics reporting, data entry and research projects and running a variety of reports. •Assists with the planning and execution of student engagement and philanthropy initiatives. •Provides excellent customer service to all constituents through in-person, phone and email interactions and serves as a primary point of contact for responding to alumni inquiries and requests. •Provides administrative assistance to the office, including budget support, project management, data projects and more. •Performs other duties as assigned that are appropriate for the position.
