Job Details Job Location AZ Phoenix - Phoenix, AZ Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Travel Percentage Negligible Job Shift Day Job Category Management Description The Manager is responsible for ensuring the daily functions are carried out effectively and safely while meeting all schedules, key performance indicators and profitability of the Service Center. The CSC Manager will lead, develop and motivate the centers personnel, provide forecasting and budgeting, perform daily audits of various functions, support drivers, the shop, office and EHS staff and be a liaison with other sites and all corporate functions. Essential Job Functions : Maintain DOT regulatory, and company Safety Policy compliance Manage, develop, and communicate to upper management KPIs relative to the TerminalManagers scope of responsibilities Develop, maintain, and exceed fiduciary budgets Evaluate processes and procedures and make necessary recommendations for changes as well as enforcing their compliance Resolve customer concerns and disputes in a timely manner Provide direction, guidance, and counseling to drivers, fleet managers, shop supervisors, technicians, and customer service representatives Work across departments to provide continuous improvement plans as related to enhancing the company's profitability by (but not limited to): Ensuring profitability of the service center by analyzing and controlling costs Reviewing and making changes as needed to maintain the most efficient staffing of company units to achieve the highest utilization as possible Submitting various financial and operational reports and action plans as required Working with and support the vice president of sales and the business development managers to grow our profitable business Assisting business development managers in the identification, acquisition, and retention of customers Developing and growing business relations with customers Preparing and implementing action plans to ensure planned productivity and service goals are achieved Overseeing work schedules for all personnel and maximizing available work hours Preparing and managing safety, security, and loss prevention procedures in accordance with Company, OSHA, and DOT guidelines Responsible for the clean and safe working condition of the facility and equipment Interpreting, implementing, and enforcing Company SOPs, policies, and procedures Carries out other duties as assigned by the VP of Operations or COO as required Qualifications Minimum Qualifications for Consideration : High School Education or equivalent Minimum of Seven years of managerial experience in transportation industry. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to manage operating procedures, regulatory requirements and customer relations Ability to communicate in a clear and precise manner in written and oral communications with all levels and in various settings Ability to provide clear direction for the team while communicating and enforcing policies and procedures Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations related to bulk products Knowledge of DOT regulations, federal and state standards, OSHA Laws, Hazardous Materials Regulations Must demonstrate exceptional integrity and judgement to make timely decisions Self-starter with detail-oriented work habits Ability to maintain confidentiality Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite: Excel/Word/Outlook/Teams) Transportation Management Software experience preferred (TMW, Peoplenet) Experience in bulk transport services preferred Physical Requirements: Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, and talking, hearing and visual activity. Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds). Working Conditions: Normal office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copier/printer/scanners.
