Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran Overview: Reds Bar & Grill Chef de Cuisine: Named after The Wigwams head golf pro for 42 years, Reds Bar & Grill offers a delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner destination overlooking the elegant, arched palms and rolling greens of the historic golf courses. Everyone can appreciate the relaxed vibe and updated comfort food of Reds Bar & Grill. Soups, sandwiches, burgers, pulled chicken and other timeless favorites will be available at both lunch and dinner. Opening up to the patio, the bar welcomes all to relax and chat over a local microbrew and platters of savory appetizers by the outdoor fire pits. Reds is located by the 3 golf courses, 9 tennis courts and the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa on our 440 acres of fun. Due to the restaurants location, it has the feel of being a free-standing restaurant. The Chef de Cuisine of this restaurant will provide leadership, development, support and motivation to the Reds Bar and Grill culinary team. The Chef will be creating a positive environment that encourage ownership and accountability; attracts and retains a diverse talent pool while meeting or exceeding business results. Create and develop unique food offerings and provide our Resort Customers, Members and Neighborhood Guests with a variety of selections. Set trends and innovate unique culinary experiences by using both classical and cutting edge culinary techniques. Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree in Culinary Arts or formal apprenticeship program or the like, valid Food and Safety certification, minimum of 5 years culinary experience leading a culinary team. Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills, proven communication and partnering, demonstrated ability to work with and develop a diverse team, capability to educate and demonstrate fundamental and advanced cooking skills. Skill to understand, support and teach the role of cuisine concept, ability to inspire, provide direction and drive effectiveness. Aptitude to develop direct reports as individuals and as a team by providing a work environment in which to excel. Capacity to work flexible schedule with variable shifts and days off in a rapid changing environment.
