Backend / API Engineer

TITLE: Backend / API EngineerEMPLOYER:Stripe, Inc. DUTIES:Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripes engineering teams using Ruby, Scala, and Go; Build software infrastructure, including developing, testing, and deploying it; Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design; Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation; Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack; Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints; Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale; Build new systems to securely store sensitive data; Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.LOCATION:New York, NY (and various unanticipated work locations across the U.S.)REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field and 4 years of Software engineering experience.Position also requires the following:4 years of experience in implementing industry standard design years of Software engineering experience in building full-stack web years of experience in using SQL and related query languages to perform data analysis.2 years of experience in working with Python, Ruby, React, and AWS.2 years of experience in building frontend Javascript web year of experience with database management in MongoDB.SALARY:$172,300.00 - $182,300.00/YearCONTACT:To be considered, applicants must send resume to referencing job code .
