Senior Director, Merchandise Planning & Allocation The Senior Director, Merchandise Planning & Allocation will oversee and develop the merchandise planning and allocation teams. This person is responsible for leading strategic initiatives within their function; while analyzing, identifying and communicating sales opportunities and providing risk-mitigating recommendations. Reporting to Brand President, this individual will work with the Merchandising team, Distribution Centers, Field leads, Business Planning, Visual and Operation teams to lead merchandise planning and allocation strategies. Key Responsibilities: •Oversee and direct the development and achievement of annual assortment plans to align with corporate sales, inventory, profit, and turn objectives. •Provide category-level direction to planners, including retail sales, gross margin, and inventory, to ensure accurate forecasting and planning.. •Support and challenge planning teams to develop strategies that align with short- and long-term goals, driving business growth and profitability. •Guide and approve allocation team strategies to sales goals, ensuring seamless integration and maximum efficiency •Partner with the Merchandising to define product strategies and enhance customer experience, driving sales and revenue growth. •Oversee price change management to ensure optimal pricing strategies and maximize profitability. •Develop long-range plans at the category level, aligning with brand objectives and sales, inventory, profit, and turn objectives. •Provide SKU counts at the category level, ensuring accurate inventory management and optimization. •Ensure team's allocation strategies optimize store in-stock levels, driving sales and revenue growth. •Develop markdown strategies to manage seasonal inventory, ensuring maximum profitability and efficiency. •Conduct seasonal plans and analysis to drive business growth and profitability. •Develop, retain, and identify talent within the planning and allocation team, ensuring a high-performing team that drives business growth and profitability. •Coach and develop the planning and allocation team to identify and execute strategies that drive business growth and profitability. •Consistently provide feedback and direction to enhance the team's skillset and performance, driving business growth and profitability. •Partner closely with team leaders to align cross-functional objectives and best practices, driving business growth and profitability. •Coordinate efforts of direct reports to ensure consistency of planning and distribution, driving business growth and profitability. •Develop and maintain cross-divisional peer relationships, driving collaboration and innovation. •Cultivate a collaborative, creative, results-oriented work environment, driving business growth and profitability. •Assume leadership role in change management, driving business growth and profitability. Experience, Skills & Knowledge: •10+ years of merchandise planning and allocation experience •JDA Allocation - Global allocation system used to manage inventory and optimize receipt flow. •Experience managing OTB and sales and inventory forecasting •Strong technical aptitude, including advanced competency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly master new applications and systems. (Microsoft D365, PowerBI preferred, but not necessary) •Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to drive a high-performing team and achieve business objectives. •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and drive business growth and profitability. •Superb presentation and communications skills, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate with stakeholders and drive business growth and profitability. •Prioritize and direct multiple activities, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. •Think conceptually and strategically regarding the business, with the ability to develop and maintain effective cross-functional relationships and drive business growth and profitability. •Motivate, negotiate, and influence effectively across departments, with the ability to drive business growth and profitability. For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Club Monaco includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This accounts for the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation is $210,000 - $220,000 annually.
