Job Description Staff Accountant Bebashi - Transition to Hope (Non-Profit Environment) Philadelphia, PA Bebashi-Transition to Hope is a multi-purpose health and social services agency. We provide culturally sensitive health-related information, direct services, education, research, and technical assistance to reduce and eliminate HIV/AIDS as well as other health disparities, such as breast cancer and hunger, within the urban community of Philadelphia and vicinity. Bebashi Transition to Hope is seeking an experienced and self-motivated non-profit Staff Accountant to provide oversight of the financial operations of the organization. This role is perfect for a detail orientated; results driven individual who can dive right into an independent accounting role. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for all accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including managing detailed general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, maintaining form W-9s, completion of annual 1099s, assist with processing of payroll, preparing organizational and department budgets, manage month end closing, preparation of financial statements and board packets for financial records. The Staff Accountant Must have a strong background in non-profit financial accounting. This position will have access to confidential information and the qualified candidate must be able to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality. Bebashi Transition to Hope is a healthcare agency and all employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Minimum of 5+ years' experience working in a non-profit accounting team with strong budgeting experience, strong verbal and written communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills. Must have working knowledge of MS Office products and QuickBooks.
