Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description The Maintenance Mechanic installs, maintains, repairs, dismantles, overhauls, reassembles, adjusts and tests various types of plant machinery, equipment structures and electrical or electronic equipment.     The Maintenance Mechanic will: Weld, braze, scrape, solder and cut various types of metals necessary for maintenance repairs and fabrication of new components and equipment Perform a variety of trade functions such as plumber, mason, carpenter and metal worker, etc. in performance duties Construct rigging and scaffolding Move heavy machinery and equipment Lubricate, grease, and oil plant machinery and equipment The Maintenance Mechanic should have: Experience installing, maintain and troubleshooting various types of machinery Experience with 480v motors and controls Experience reading blue-prints, wiring diagrams, shop hand-books and layouts
