Job purpose We are looking for an eager Associate Category Manager to join our growing PHINIA Delphi Steering & Suspension team! This position will provide the right candidate with many opportunities to learn and gain a wealth of experience in a rapidly growing product line. Key Responsibilities Accountable for profitable category growth in North America Responsible for supporting the category manager in developing and executing internal and external category plans Oversee vision and mission statement for Delphi product category portfolio Assist in developing strategies, initiatives and scorecard measures to achieve category and regional goals Turn environmental, customer, installer and product data into actionable tactics to drive profitable growth Perform market research and partner with third party vendors to ensure the organization is responding to the voice of the customer Work with multifunctional global team to execute category plan and align global product line strategy with regional needs Identify customer specific product assortments and inventory deployment proposals to maximize customer sales and minimize returns Collaborate on the development of marketing materials and promotional plans to support category vision Assist in presenting category plans to sales, customers and leadership team Communicate weekly, monthly and quarterly with sales on product line trends and customer concerns This position reports to the NA Marketing Director Product life cycle management Assist on implementing and maintaining pricing strategies based on market analytics Collaborate with category manager on identifying new to range product pipeline based on customer requests and market data, validating data in pipeline, and launching new products within the region Generate new product introduction ideas with support from cross functional team Support purchasing team with data to help drive down product costs Work with product and engineering to identify product attributes and specifications to support the development of marketing materials Partner with logistics team to manage inventory and plan for SKU obsolescence What we're looking for BASIC REQUIREMENTS Must have a minimum of 3+ years of Automotive Aftermarket Industry experience Must have at least 2+ years' experience in Category Management and Market & Data Analysis (or relevant experience) Good influential people skills, strategic thinking and problem-solving ability Willingness to learn, observe, and propose improvements to benefit the overall team Self-motivated and willing to take initiative Ability to effectively and efficiently manage numerous tasks under time-sensitive deadlines PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree is preferred but industry experience will be considered in place of a degree Product life cycle management experience is beneficial Knowledge of North American light, medium and heavy-duty aftermarket & channels of distribution is a big plus Experience with product line pricing is highly desired GAP analysis and interchange experience Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
