Our technicians and in-house capabilities enable us to tackle jobs that no other shop can handle.We are seeking a full time, day shift Diesel Fleet Mechanic for our transportation group, CICKO Transportation, an H&K Equipment Group company. This position will be based at our shop near the Robinson Mall. The ability to work, think and operate independently is a must.RESPONSIBILITIESInspect engines and follow appropriate proceduresManage and maneuver comfortably with heavy equipment Lift parts and equipment with hoists or hydraulic jacksInspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles and trucksProblem solve and perform routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and refilling oil and lubricantsDisassemble and reassemble equipment and partsTest drive fleet/vehicles to ensure that they run smoothlyREQUIREMENTSExperience working as a fleet mechanic and with heavy trucks, equipment, or tractor trailersExperience with air, electric, hydraulic, and braking systemsExperience with Cummins and Caterpillar EnginesExperience with Allison TransmissionsExperience with Cummins Insite, CAT ET, and Allison DOC a plusMust have own toolsBENEFITSCompetitive salary commensurate with experience 401(k) with company matchHealth insurance (majority paid by company)Dental insuranceVision insuranceLife insuranceFlexible scheduleReferral programWeekly pay scheduleTravel expensesABOUT USH&K Equipment is the founding member of the H&K Equipment Group, a growing network of five operating companies that employs hundreds of experts at businesses throughout the mid-Atlantic and Northeast.
