Job Summary There is an opening for a Welder (Construction & Maintenance) in the Middletown Area.The primary focus of this position will be to work on the fabrication, installation and maintenance of piping systems / facilities, and may support field operations throughout the Middletown Area operating systems.The Welder (C&M) should be qualified by training and experience to perform all welding tasks and will also assist as part of construction and maintenance crew callouts as required.Duties and Responsibilities Fabricate, install and maintain piping system/facilities in the Lancaster Area operating system. Safe operation of company owned vehicles and equipment. Respond to and assist with emergency situations. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficient in downhill (cellulosic) and uphill (low hydrogen) welding techniques. Ability to pass the UGI Construction Weld Test as a condition of employment. Ability to pass the UGI In Service Weld Test within 6 months of the hire date. Knowledge of equipment operation and pipeline construction. Candidate must have mechanical ability and be able to do physical labor. Maintain a valid driver's license. Must be able to pass a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) test and pre-employment physical. General computer knowledge. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational Technical school/training a plus. Experience in natural gas, construction, maintenance, or related field preferred.
