Production Underwriter

Seeking a talented P&C Senior Production Underwriter to work within our USL&HMaritime Program Group (united states longshoreman and harbor workers). This position is focused on new business development, including marketing, managing, and retaining a consistently growing and profitable book of business(looking for a strong underwriting background and broker relationships. DO NOT need to have longshoremen and harbor workers niche but would be preferred). Your Impact:The solicitation, quoting, and binding of submissions in accordance with Underwriting guidelines specific to your Underwriting Letter of Authority granted by the team leader andor CarrierNegotiateexecute new and renewal production and goals as established by management.Develop and pursue prospects through solicitation, referral, target marketing and industry affiliationsSecure information, recommendations for prospective accounts, present proposals for new and renewal accounts while adhering to prescribed policies and procedures and document file accordingly within agency management system. Apply appropriate factors to rating basisformulas providedMarketing visits to assigned retail agenciesclients relevant to your book of businessAssist in resolving any coverage issuesquestions, audits, endorsements, accounting, claims or marketing issues as neededParticipate in underwriting meetingseducational seminarscontinued education courses offered
