About the Team: As we continue to grow, so does our Finance team. We are excited to bring on a Senior Accountant to our small but mighty team. Our Finance team is a vital partner to Bubble's business. We own the day-to-day finance and accounting operations for Bubble, track financial performance of the company, and partner with various business stakeholders to provide financial information and analysis to help guide decision making and set strategy. We are always adapting to Bubble's evolving business priorities with an understanding of how the pieces of the puzzle fit into the big picture. In this role, you'll: Own the month-end close processes for assigned areas, including daily interaction with internal business partners Perform accounting close processes on assigned areas, and independently prepare reconciliations and journal entries, including year-end financial statements audit Partner with other departments to understand and support business processes, ensuring proper accounting, and resolve reconciling differences, including day-to-day AP and credit cards Assist with documentation and maintenance of corporate accounting policies and ad hoc team projects and analysis About you: 2-5 years of relevant Accounting/Finance experience - We're especially excited to speak to folks from nationally recognized accounting firms experience or technology startups. Education and/or comparable professional experience in Accounting or related fields (Our VP of Finance majored in Engineering!) Tech-savvy and MS Excel superuser; comfortable working with and analyzing large datasets. Familiarity with SQL databases is a plus Ability to prioritize and execute on tasks with a sense of urgency Active CPA or CPA eligible preferred Compensation: We offer competitive compensation aligned to tier one markets. Our estimated salary for this role at Bubble ranges from $119,000 to $161,000. Actual pay is determined by multiple factors such as skills, qualifications, experience and market demand. Location: For this role, Bubble is currently only considering candidates who are authorized to work in the US and are within the New York City metro area. We prefer hiring people within commuting distance of our NYC office because we value getting together in person regularly.
