Job Description:We are seeking Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Production Support (EPS) team. The ideal candidate will support vehicle production by troubleshooting and resolving engineering-related issues, reviewing design specifications, and managing variances during the manufacturing process. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment with a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration between Design and Production teams.Key Responsibilities:Technical Review: Review and interpret design specifications, drawings, models, and test results to ensure compliance with engineering standards and product requirements.Production Support: Assist with processing variances, supporting the EPS Lead to resolve issues affecting vehicle production on the shop floor.Problem Reporting: Create Problem Reports detailing engineering-related issues, working closely with the Integrated Program Team (IPT) to develop and implement solutions.Variance Control: Maintain the variance control process for production-related variations from the Technical Data Package (TDP), including obtaining internal and customer approval.Solution Development: Develop and implement complex and non-complex solutions for production issues, utilizing standard and non-standard repairs and configuration notes.Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams on special projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance Configuration Management and improve workflows for design changes.Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety guidelines.Skills & Qualifications:Required:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Experience with 3D CAD software, specifically PTC Creo (ProEngineer).Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities.Ability to develop and maintain large Excel spreadsheets.Basic knowledge of production processes and engineering design principles.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.A self-starter, capable of working with minimal supervision.Preferred:Experience working in a prototype or production environment.Familiarity with military vehicle production and related military specifications.Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5-2009).Understanding of Manufacturing and Configuration Management processes.Experience with welding, fabrication, and the assemblyintegration of subsystems.
