The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will report to the President & CEO of LaMotte and will have a dotted line to the Chief Financial Officer of Arthur H. Thomas Company. They will have a strategic and tactical role in the overall growth of LaMotte. This role is an opportunity to be the financial leader for a dynamic privately held company. The CFO will be a key advisor to the CEO and other members of the senior executive team.This person will have responsibility for all finance-related activities of LaMotte, including accounting, treasury, financial reporting, and financial planning and analysis. The CFO will attract, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team and be a key advisor to operational leadership at all levels of the company. The successful candidate will have excellent management and leadership skills, with a demonstrated track record of working in growing, transformational organizations and impacting growth strategy.The CFO will serve as a business partner responsible for challenging and supporting business unit leadership, increasing their ability to anticipate business issues and drive sound decision- making throughout the organization. The successful candidate will have the ability to function at a broad-based, strategic level while being capable of driving detailed, tactical execution. This position will be the "Go-To" resource for the company's leadership team from a financial and strategic perspective and will have considerable interaction with and visibility to the entireSenior Leadership team. To be successful, this leader must quickly develop trust with stakeholders through a combination of technical knowledge and financial savvy.Position Description:Establish and maintain financial objectives, policies, and controls;Prepare budgets and financial forecastsprojections;Responsible for accurate and timely cash flow projects;Proactively and continuously prepare and make recommendations based on financial analysis of the business and LaMotte's overall objectives;Evaluate business operations and make recommendations for value creation; this includes investments of capital and cost-reduction initiatives;Ability to assess and take risks in order to optimize opportunities or to create opportunities when appropriate;Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and accuracy of all financial planning and reporting processes;Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends in order to assist the President & CEO and other senior leaders in performing their responsibilities;Assist in educating other leaders and employees on the financial metrics and levers that will drive improved results in the business unit and the company;Establishes and maintains strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions;Develop solutions to business challenges and present them to strategic partners within the company;Enhances and implements policies and procedures to improve the internal controls of the organization;Seek continuous improvement of the budgeting process through education of managers on financial issues impacting their budgets, including identifying ways in which to minimize costs and maximize performance;Identify or recruit and mentor high-potential talent, setting high standards for finance personnel across the organization;Work with the CEO and leadership team to manage the business with strong financial discipline and bottom-line orientation;Drive improvements for the Company's financial close and reporting processes to drive efficiency and improve internal controls;Leading the monthly close to ensure the timely reporting of consolidated financial results to Arthur H. Thomas Company.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in financeaccounting or a related field is required.
