LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Compressed Air Service Technician Training Specialist to join a rapidly growing company in the compressed air systems industry. This role will be responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs for compressed air systems, encompassing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. The Training Specialist will lead both hands-on and classroom training sessions, designed for both new and experienced technicians, ensuring proficiency in maintaining diverse compressed air equipment from various industrial brands. This role requires strong communication skills, comprehensive industry knowledge, and the ability to conduct impactful training in both classroom and lab environments. Direct industry experience is required.Location: Charlotte, NC (with up to 50% travel)Key Responsibilities:Training Delivery and Curriculum DevelopmentConduct in-depth training on troubleshooting and maintaining rotary screw and centrifugal compressors, air dryers, and control systems.Lead classroom and lab-based training sessions using a variety of materials and adult learning methods.Mentor junior technicians, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and align training programs with strategic business objectives.Continuously refine training instructions and procedures to support technician development.Track and report on training KPIs, including time-to-billable status and efficiency improvements, to ensure alignment with business goals.Collaborate with internal and external resources to enhance the company's technician training program.Training Program ManagementReview and facilitate technical training materials (manuals, PowerPoints, certification exams) and maintain a quarterly and annual training calendar for technician development.Conduct certification exams and manage training evaluations for new hires over their first 120 days.Coordinate logistics for off-site training sessions as required, and annually update training curricula to meet industry needs.Business and Process OptimizationProvide market insights by interacting with other industry leaders, and develop training proposals and marketing materials for customer-facing teams.Work with cross-functional teams on customer training initiatives, presenting program outcomes at executive meetings, and supporting special projects as needed.Partner with Service leadership to identify revenue-generating opportunities through service training for key accounts.Reporting and Data ManagementRegularly report on training metrics, including certification rates, training costs, and time-to-billable status, with comprehensive evaluations for each certification level.Track program outcomes and present key insights to the executive team to ensure informed decision-making.Qualifications:Experience: Extensive hands-on experience with compressed air systems, specifically rotary screw and centrifugal compressors. Prior field service technician experience is required.Training Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and training facilitation skills are essential.Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with multiple brands, including Quincy, Kaiser, Ingersoll Rand, Gardner Denver, Blake & Pendleton, ElGi, Pattons, Atlas Copco, Universal Air, and dustry Knowledge: Must have 100% industry experience, with a preference for experience with diverse compressor types beyond a single brand.Technical Skills:Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite for training material development and reporting.Role Highlights:Report directly to the Head of Learning & Development, an innovative and supportive leader committed to growth and development.Corporate culture is fast-paced and entrepreneurial, with affiliate brands maintaining a close-knit, personalized work environment.Offers growth potential within a fast-expanding, employee-owned company backed by a major private equity pensation and Benefits:Base Salary: $80,000-$115,000Benefits: Comprehensive package including employee ownership program, available upon request.Additional Requirements:Criminal background check and drug screening are required.Dress Code: Business casual.Work Environment: Cubicle workstation.
