About the Company:Our client is one of the leading global sports & entertainment companies with offices in NYC. They are looking to bring on a Senior Accountant to work hand-in-hand with their CFO!!**Very competitive base salary + bonus + amazing perks**Responsibilities:Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, ensuring financial statements are prepared in compliance with US GAAP.Manage, reconcile and control complex accountsPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and schedules to support management decision-makingAssist with preparing and posting journal entries related to cash, revenue, cost of goods sold, and accounts receivableCalculate and prepare artist settlements for event closeoutsConduct regular GL account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial dataAssist with quarterly and year-end financial statement audits and provide necessary documentation to auditorsRespond promptly to various ad-hoc requests for financial information and analysisQualifications3+ years of progressive accounting experience ideally in entertainmenthospitality industrySolid foundation of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the proven ability to communicate effectively both within the Finance department and cross-functionallyExperience with accounting ERP system such as NetSuite preferredAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills
