Assistant Designer

Ten Thousand is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Designer to help bring our product vision to life. In this role, you'll work closely with our design and product development teams, contributing to the creation of new styles and ensuring that our products meet Ten Thousand's high standards of performance and style. From assisting with concept development to supporting the team through final samples, you'll play an essential role in transforming ideas into premium, cutting-edge activewear.We're looking for an enthusiastic team player with a strong eye for detail and a passion for pushing creative boundaries. Ideal candidates will have a foundation in apparel design, with experience in activewear or DTC being a plus. If you're organized, hands-on, and ready to contribute to every stage of the design process, we'd love to meet you. Roles and Responsibilities: Assist in creation of seasonal colored BOMs for existing stylesCreate and manage seasonal line sheetsUpdate sketches and CADs as changes occur in the lineAssist in reviewingapproving incoming strike-offs, lab dips, and all design related submitsOrganize and maintain a neat and easily accessible materials and sample libraryParticipate in research of tear sheets, mood images, trends, prints, colors, silhouettes, and innovative ideasAssist in creating inspiring design presentations each seasonSketch detailed flats in IllustratorAttend all fittings and partner with PDTechnical team on all sketch and BOM updatesManage care label, tear label and hang tag information and updatesCreate, assist, and complete all design handoffstech packsCollaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the design processSupport Design Director and day to day of all design functions Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design is a plusExperience: 1-2 yearsHigh proficiency in Illustrator is required Self-motivated and ability to thrive in fast paced environment PLM experience a plusExcellent organization skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong attention to detailAbility to work well with multiple team members with a positive team player attitudeStrong communication and follow-up skillsPassion for premium, functional product and the desire to forge a path as a market leader in new product concepts.Exceptional attention to product details.Humility and eagerness to learn and grow.
