We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and oversee maintenance operations on the production floor, ensuring equipment reliability and production efficiency.Job Summary:The 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance of production equipment, manage a team of technicians, and ensure efficient operations during the second shift. This role requires an individual with a strong engineering background, experience in food production machinery, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish. The supervisor will also be responsible for basic electrical maintenance, tool utilization, and adherence to 5S and continuous improvement practices.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for production equipment on the 2nd shift to ensure operational efficiency and minimal downtime.Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support in troubleshooting and repairing food production machinery.Perform preventive maintenance and identify areas for improvement in equipment performance and safety.Utilize maintenance tools effectively, and ensure team members are trained in proper tool use and safety protocols.Assist with basic electrical maintenance and repairs as needed.Maintain and promote 5S and continuous improvement (Sigma) practices to optimize production flow and maintain a clean, safe work environment.Ensure accurate and timely documentation of maintenance activities and repair logs.Utilize basic computer skills to manage maintenance records, communicate updates, and track inventory.Qualifications:Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related field (preferred).Experience: 3+ years in a maintenance supervisory role within a food production environment.Language Skills: Bilingual - English and Spanish required.Technical Skills:Industrial machinery knowledge. Strong knowledge of food production machine maintenance.Basic electrical skills (troubleshooting, minor repairs).Welding experience (preferred).Proficiency in using and maintaining maintenance tools.Familiarity with 5S and continuous improvement practices (Sigma certification is a plus).Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.Additional Requirements:Flexibility for overtime and weekend shifts as required.Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Benefits:Competitive salaryHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and company holidaysOpportunities for training and career advancement
