Senior Litigation Trial Attorney

We are looking for an experienced Senior Litigation Trial Attorney to join our team! As a Senior Litigation Trial Attorney, you will serve as lead counsel on moderately complex to complex coverage matters, requiring a solid degree of knowledge and expertise, from inception through all phases of litigation you will be responsible for working directly with the business to ensure that all legal matters are handled in a professional and efficient manner.Senior Litigation Trial Attorney Responsibilities:Appears on the firm's behalf in federal and state courts to manage the litigation of insurance coverage issues, including motions, trials, status conferences, and other substantive and procedural concerns.Identifies and defends the firm's legal interests by drafting motions, briefs, pleadings, written discovery, other legal papers, communications, and memoranda.Proposes, prepares, and responds to and evaluates oral and written discovery.Decides on acceptable legal positions and tactics, and handles litigation; offers guidance on potential results, settlements, and pletes all administrative requirements, such as time tracking, closed case reports, and other documents needed to carry out work responsibilities.Analyzing conflicts in legal matters and advising clients on solutionsManage caseloads and schedule.Prepare for and attend depositions and trials.Handle administrative tasks such as billing and record keeping.Builds and maintains strong client relationships.May act as mentor and coach to less senior attorneys, paralegalstaff; explains issues, ideas and concepts that are incorporated into work assignments.Ensuring confidentialitySenior Litigation Trial Attorney Qualifications:Accredited Law degreeMinimum of 10+ years of experience in a law firm or legal practiceExperience handling general liability, professional liability, construction, complex commercial litigation, insurance defense, medical malpractice.Strong legal knowledgeStrong organizational skillsAbility to work independently and collaborate with others.Strong client service orientationAbility to prioritize work.Proficiency in MS OfficeExceptional decision-making abilitiesStrong project management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work under pressure.Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, and STD,Life Insurance, 401K Retirement PlanPaid Time OffCompetitive SalaryCome and join a supportive, team-centered firm where success and growth are cultivated and celebrated!Mintzer Sarowitz, Zeris & Willis is an equal opportunity employer. today!
