What You Will Do: The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Marketing will play a vital role in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that drive business growth and enhance brand awareness. This position requires a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a proven track record of success in marketing leadership. The AVP will oversee a team of marketing professionals, manage marketing budgets, and collaborate closely with other departments to achieve company objectives. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning : Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies aligned with overall business goals. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform decision-making. Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team. Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to foster a collaborative and results-driven environment. Budget Management : Manage and optimize marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment. Campaign Execution : Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, content marketing, public relations and in-store POS. Brand Management : Maintain brand consistency and integrity across all marketing activities, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines. Performance Measurement : Track, analyze, and report on key marketing metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Provide regular updates to senior management. Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with sales, education, product development, and other departments to ensure alignment and achieve shared goals. Innovation and Best Practices : Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Identify and implement innovative marketing strategies to maintain a competitive edge. What We Are Looking For: Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. 10-15+ years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Hair and/or beauty industry experience preferred. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies. Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing analytics tools. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to lead and motivate a team. Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across various functional areas of the business. Experience managing budgets and resources effectively. Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and content marketing. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to travel domestically periodically (25%) Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working with a distributor network is preferred.
