Job Description The Mechanical Design Engineer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Design mechanical components and systems for both new products and customized solutions. Conduct research and select components to fulfill system requirements. Develop layout models and drawings for client review and approval. Generate fabrication and sub-assembly drawings for vendor quotes and purchasing purposes. Collaborate with project management, manufacturing, assembly, and testing teams. Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other engineering assessments to validate designs. Create Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Ensure designs meet all relevant specifications, standards, and codes. Compile, review, and finalize comprehensive drawing packages and documentation for project release. Address any project-related non-conformances within the department. Guide draftsmen and designers in creating models and drawings for complex projects. Apply today for immediate consideration! The Successful Applicant The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will have the following requirements: 5+ years of experience Preferred experience with PTC Pro-E/Creo CAD software; experience with other CAD software will also be considered. Familiarity with PDMLink database preferred; experience with other CAD management software is also applicable. Skilled in creating models and detailed drawings for industrial machinery, including machined and sheet metal parts, in line with industry standards. Experience with gas handling equipment, HVAC machinery, or gas process piping/tubing is a plus. Preferred knowledge of pneumatic, piping, and electro-mechanical automation systems. Understanding of manufacturing procedures, materials, finishes, and related processes. Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. US Citizenship required due to federal contract eligibility requirements.
