As an Assistant Branch Director, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing the operations and day-to-day management of branch staff and services in partnership with the Branch Director. This individual is also responsible for ensuring compliance with state licensing, local board, professional standards, and branch/agency policies and procedures for all services rendered within the branch. This position is expected to function effectively with little supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure effective branch operations through strong leadership and management of staff, selecting good talent, training and developing staff, and motivating staff; Manage, direct, and lead direct report and facilitate weekly meetings in accordance with agency and contract requirements; Cultivate a positive, team centered work environment; Ensure program requirements are being met in accordance with agency and external partner standards; Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures for staff evaluations, training requests, timekeeping, and reimbursement requests; Review and respond to incident reports while consulting with staff involved; Assist in the delivery of quality services consistent with state licensing and Bethany's standards of practice. Ensure proper documentation of services along with timely preparation and submission of reports; Monitor all child placement activity and remain appraised of foster care and adoptive plans as well as decision making; Provide trauma-based therapy to children and their parents, as necessary; Serve as a back-up for social work services when adequate coverage is not available among social work staff; Stay abreast of industry child welfare issues, legislation trends and practices through systematic review of professional literature and networking with state service units and other private organizations; Assist the Branch Director in the development and enhancement of positive relationships with contractors, referral sources, other agencies, courts, and churches; Assist with the preparation of the annual branch office budget in partnership with the Branch Director; Monitor branch revenue and expenditures in alignment with agency policies and board expectations. Provide the corporate office statistical reports on a structured timely basis; Assist the Branch Director in the development, preparation, and distributions of public relations, marketing and fund-raising material; Actively participate in fund-raising events promoting Bethany's ministry; Stay abreast of all agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements related to social services; Complete other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: MSW or Master's level degree in Social Services, or equivalent field of study; At least three (3) years of experience overseeing a program in the field of social services; Active LISW in the state of the work location; At least one (1) year of experience managing others with successful budget development and management expertise; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrated clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills; Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality; Computer skillssufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of MicrosoftOffice suite; Must be 21 years old with a valid driver'slicense with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalfof Bethany. Must also pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain areliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage; Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries; Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Diversity Equity and Inclusion Commitment. #LI-LA1
