To support our growing group retirement plan advisory practice, SAX Wealth Advisors is seeking an ambitious, client focused relationship specialist with a hustle mentality and a desire to directly help businesses and their employees. The position is based in Parsippany, NJ office. The ideal candidate would have 1-3 years of experience in the retirement plan industry, preferably at a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) or recordkeeper. Successful execution of this role will include collaboration with other service team members, account managers, and outside partners. This role is tailor made for you if you have knowledge of both TPA functions and the inner workings of retirement plan compliance/administration, along with a desire to directly make a difference helping plan sponsors and their participants in a client facing business advisory role. The Associate Retirement Plan Advisor will play an integral role in the continued growth of SAX Wealth Advisors' Retirement Plan practice. Reporting to the Partner in charge of Retirement Plans, you will service the needs of our plan sponsor clients and their plan participants, while managing important team processes that are integral to our clients' plans running smoothly. You will engage with both external and internal partners to actively ensure the success of our clients' retirement plan programs. The Associate Retirement Plan Advisor primary role is to manage client relationships and help our clients achieve their goals. This includes leveraging the full capabilities of Sax to our clients' benefit to do so. The successful candidate will develop and maintain a strong working relationship with clients, platform providers, and internal partners within SAX. This will be accomplished through ongoing communication, excellent proactive service, and by providing outstanding operational support. The Associate Retirement Plan Advisor will be a primary contact for our plan sponsor clients and their participants, effectively leveraging recordkeeper, TPA, and other industry resources. The ideal candidate would also be capable of assisting in new business opportunities as appropriate, building presentation decks, and expanding upon our external retirement materials suite. This position provides significant opportunity for a candidate with initiative to make an immediate and meaningful impact. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Proactive engagement with business owners of our plan sponsor clients, helping them take full advantage of their plan, including available tax savings • Coordinate with service providers including recordkeepers, TPAs, and other vendor partners to ensure plan sponsor and participant satisfaction • Support client relationship management efforts, becoming a trusted advisor partner • Strategic proactive engagement of 401(k) participants within the RPS book of business, utilizing provider recourses to establish and implement outreach campaigns to drive increased retirement savings • Collaborating with internal team members to ensure the highest level of service for day-to-day client needs • Provide timely responses and support to 401(k) plan sponsor client & participant inquiries Additional Responsibilities: • Takes initiative and proactive steps with follow-up as needed for our clients' plans to be successful, resulting in our clients achieving their goals • Provides on-demand and scheduled investment / plan review reports as needed • Participates in and contributes to team meetings • Maintains fiduciary files for the RPS book of business • Records and reviews monthly & quarterly reports for accuracy and timely action • Track and completes any special projects throughout the year • Helps to manage new client onboarding processes • Engages in business development efforts as needed to support the firm's strategic priorities • Supports the RPS practice's social media and content outreach engagements • Helps develop and maintain RPS practice's prospect and client facing materials Qualifications Education and/or Work Experience: • Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the preferred areas: finance, economics, business administration, mathematics, or liberal arts. • 2+ years of equivalent work experience in the retirement services industry preferred • 2+ years if related work experience at a third-party administrator (TPA) preferred • Ability to obtain Series 65 within the first 6 months - 1 year of employment • Interest/willingness to pursue CFP, CFA, AIF, CRPS, and/or other Retirement Industry designations Other Qualifications: • Interest in learning and growing within the financial / retirement plan industry, specifically educating clients on retirement plans and 401k benefit options • Must have initiative, drive, be organized and efficient in a demanding work environment • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with others, and communicate with various personality types / levels of expertise • Ability to work well with a team and independently • Ability to multi-task and quickly switch priorities when necessary to manage deadlines • High personal standards and sound judgement • Ability to think critically and to process complex financial scenarios • Open and receptive to feedback and coaching • Ability to build rapport with clients • Strong attention to accuracy and detail Specialized Skills: • Strong knowledge of Windows Operating systems & Microsoft Office • Experience and interest in creatively utilizing MS PowerPoint Preferred To learn more about SAX Wealth Advisors, visit our website at Sax Wealth Advisors is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
