Medix is hiring a Healthcare Call Center Representative based out of New York, NY to assist with patient questions, updating information in EMR systems, and answer insurance inquires. Qualified candidates will have healthcare experience and be comfortable on the phones, working with computer systems, and working in a metric based environment. This role does allow for remote work, but candidates must be able to report to the New York city office as needed. Overview: This position will be a primarily remote Medical Receptionist/ Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will be answering patient calls, updating information in the system, and providing assistance to patients as needed. This is a call- center type position and individuals will be required to hit company metric standards. Duties & Responsibilities: Provides support to the Manager and other staff in the resolution of member related issues. Communicates with members and their families regarding information about MA, FIDA and MAP products and services. Provides summary reports, analysis and support for care coordination related activities. Participates in non-clinical customer service for members enrolled in the VNS Health Plans MA, MAP, FIDA plan in collaboration with Care Management department and other healthcare professionals. Works under general supervision. Education Requirement: High School degree or equivalent required. Associate Degree in a healthcare related field preferred. Minimum of two years experience in telephonic customer service required. Experience in a healthcare organization required. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and data systems required. General office experience including billing, accounts receivables and/or bookkeeping preferred. This is a full-time, Monday - Friday position. Interviews are taking place now! Apply today!
