Distribution Engineer 1

Job Description Currently, we have an opportunity for a Distribution Engineer for electric utility engineering. This position will be working with our growing Power Distribution Engineering team. This role will require leading other distribution engineers, working directly with clients and ensuring the reputation of high quality is maintained. Candidate will be remote to start the position with the intention of transitioning to in-office eventually. Candidate must live in New Jersey or Eastern PA, ideally in the Trenton to Clifton region (Northern New Jersey), but Southern NJ and Eastern PA will be considered "ƒIndependently develop design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems for electric utility customers "ƒReview work provided by Client and assess requirements of scopes. "ƒPerform engineering calculations such as: structural analysis for wood pole loading, guying calculations, specifying conductor sags and tensions for recommended spans, and calculation of voltage drop and flicker. "ƒProvide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met. "ƒConduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design "ƒGain experience in coordinating conflicting utilities and other field engineering design requirements, assessing and developing large design packages for complex cable/conduit projects in dense urban environments, work permit development, easements, and ROW applications "ƒBe comfortable in both a field and office setting: the role may require customer-site visits to collect field data that will assist in developing work packages We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
