Great Lakes Auto Group is Seeking an Automotive Controller Automotive Dealership Experience is REQUIRED The Automotive Assistant Controller/Office Manager assists in managing the financial operations of the automotive dealership. This role involves overseeing accounting functions, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the Controller in strategic financial planning. Competitive salary package dependent on experience Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices and collections. General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and dealership policies, including internal controls and audit processes. Team Management: Supervise accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and support in their professional development. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as sales and service, to ensure accurate financial reporting and support business operations. Tax Compliance: Assist with tax preparation and compliance, including sales tax, income tax, and other applicable taxes. Qualifications: Automotive Dealership experience in the accounting office is required Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practice Experience managing a team of accounting support associates Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
