Responsibilities: Negotiate equipment and material procurement with capable vendors, securing the best value for ALTIVIA and maintaining strategic vendor relationships in a positive manner. Monitor requisitions for all authorization-for-expenditure (AFE) related work; ensure approval is received timely. Create purchase orders (PO) and include correct AFE references and General Ledger (GL) coding, so spend can be tracked and aggregated accurately. Assist Accounts Payable to validate any incoming invoice related to AFE work, including progress payments and incentives. Summarize expected procurement needs, working with engineering to define long-lead equipment. Summarize expected expense relating to capital procurement, providing a forecast based on the project schedule and the timelines & payment schedules for individual POs; articulate these details to project stakeholders in Manufacturing and Engineering, and financial stakeholders in Commercial and Accounting. Monitor receipts and follow up to ensure timely closure of PO line items, to enable swift month-end close. Work with headquarters master data teams to set up new vendors for capital procurement. Work with accounting to provide standard credit references for the related business entity, sharing typically requested information in an efficient and consistent manner. Work with accounting to ensure AFEs are approved and established with the correct budget, so that subsequent purchasing activity can be tied to those authorizations. Work with site Procurement Analysts to divide work efficiently and link capital-related maintenance spend and work orders to the AFE. Steward proper 3-way match and ensure financial controls and separation of duties are present for all capital projects purchasing; monitor any purchasing non-conformances and address with relevant management/supervisors. Generate purchasing plan(s) and report performance to plant managers and senior management. Located in Haverhill, OH; reports to Supply Chain Director with a dotted line to VP of Manufacturing. Qualifications and Skills: Technical comprehension and negotiation. Proactive and thorough written and verbal communication. Attention to detail, thoroughness, and organization. Vendor relationships and supplier development. Tracking committed spend and outstanding purchasing milestones. Data analysis, Excel proficiency, and general arithmetic/numeracy. Computer proficiency and efficient data entry. Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; technical or engineering degree preferred. Previous purchasing experience of 5-10 years required. Experience in capital-project procurement preferred. Experience in chemicals/process industry preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
