Job Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and administration of RIT's compensation programs, ensuring alignment with the university's strategic goals and market competitiveness. Play a critical role in driving a Staff Career Architecture project, focusing on improving staff career pathways, job classifications, and compensation structures that support employee development and retention. Provide insight and expertise to transition to a new ERP system (Workday), ensuring seamless integration of compensation processes and data. Collaborate with senior leadership, HR partners, and other stakeholders to develop and communicate compensation strategies and policies. Conduct market analyses and benchmarking studies to maintain competitive and equitable compensation practices. Provide expert guidance and support to managers and employees on compensation-related matters. Work closely with CHRO to support the President and Executive Compensation Committee of the Board of Trustees on executive compensation matters. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CCP) preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in compensation management, with a strong background in project leadership and change management. Experience in higher education environment a plus. Proven experience with ERP systems, preferably Workday, and a deep understanding of compensation modules and data integration. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
