Job Description Consult with and keeps supervisor informed of activities, needs and concerns;Carries out routine and specific assignments. Pulls work orders from computer system, completes request and enters completed work orders into system. Performs Mechanical and Security Rounds as assigned;Operates, maintains and repairs boilers, pumps, compressors, air handlers, OR equipment, water softening equipment and HVAC controls. Repairs and overhaul of dietary equipment, beds, carts, and other wheeled equipment. Installs and tests new equipment. Assembles, moves and installs furniture and equipment. May install and repair floor and wall covering, i.e. tiles and others. May be required to do painting. Assist other personnel as needed in handling materials on major repair or installation projects. Performs electrical safety checks of facility equipment, electrical appliances. Assure that all electrical tests are fully documented and that records are updated;May be required to work at either primary campus or satellite clinics as assigned;Responds as Security Staff to the security needs of the staff and facility including but not limited to Dr. Hanover, suspicious person, thefts and Dr. Locks;Maintains all required records, reports;Care for and maintains department supplies and equipment and work areas. Requisition supply and equipment needs;Performs preventative maintenance duties including but not limited to generator, emergency lighting and smoke damper testing;Performs snow removal and grounds work (mowing, trimming, maintaining grounds equipment) as assigned;Follows established department and organization policies, procedures, objectives, quality management, safety, environmental and infection control. Demonstrates understanding of behaviors consistent with the Hospital Mission, Vision, Goals and Values. Recognizes the importance of customer satisfaction. Develops appropriate behaviors and attitudes regarding exceeding customer expectations. Adheres to established TLC Standards of Performance;Works to promote cooperative staff effort to provide and maintain high quality service to patients, physicians, and other hospital personnel to assure quality patient care. Courteously responds to inquiries from same;Reviews and understands the key policies governing their particular job functions;Responds to emergency codes, (i.e. Code Red - Fire, Code Orange - Disaster, Code Black - Bomb Threat, Code Green - Elopement, Code Adam - Missing Child, Code White - Bio-Terrorism, Biohazard/Chemical spill, Dr. Lock - Lock down, Dr. Hanover - Security Assistance. Minimum or Preferred Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED required. Preferred: Graduate of a trade school strongly preferred. Required: Valid and unrestricted New York State Driver License. Experience in basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing and carpentry required. Preferred: Advanced skills in the building trades or construction preferred. Salary Range $19.47-$23.29 per hour *Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.*
