Title: Medical Student Program Specialist Location: Upper East Side Org Unit: Education Work Days: Monday-Friday Weekly Hours: 35.00 Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Salary Range: $30.00 - $34.89 *As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices Position Summary Under general supervision, provides administrative support to activities related to medical students Job Responsibilities Coordinates medical student recruitment events. Manages the Sub-Internship Program for fourth year medical students. Assists in assigning and attributing faculty for first two years of medical school curriculum with teaching activities. Responsible for the reporting of general education teaching sessions performed in Clerkships & Sub-Internships. Responsible for tracking all medical student education activities and maintaining student faculty records related to medical student teaching. Coordinates internal and external networking and student leadership events. Provides educational planning for medical student initiatives. Provides student development and support for scholarly work. Coordinates the application and onboarding processes for domestic and international student observers. Coordinates processes surrounding student elective programs. Assists with eligibility, registration, scheduling and/or the expansion and creation of new elective courses. Initiates and prepares written correspondence as needed and based on functional needs. Coordinates student testing, evaluation and/or grading processes. If applicable, assists with the administration and proctoring of exams. Education High School Diploma Experience Bachelor's degree is preferred. Approximately 2 years of related work experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work with minimal supervision, and excellent written and oral communication skills, required.
