Hotel: Portland Holiday Inn 8439 NE Columbia Blvd Portland, OR 97220 Front Desk Agent Part time Atrium SPIRIT - where teamwork, passion and appreciation ignite service excellence Holiday Inn at the Portland Airport - located on Columbia Blvd Enjoy A Free Shift Meal, Free Employee Parking & Travel Discounts when you join our IHG Family Part Time Position Must have Open Availability including Weekends and Holidays Shifts may be variable depending on need - Day shift 7am-3pm, or Evening shift 3pm-11pm Pay scale $17.50-$19.50 /hour DOE The Holiday Inn at the Portland Airport features 285 guest suites and 20,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. The hotel is located less than a mile outside the Portland International Airport, seven miles from downtown Portland, and nine miles from downtown Vancouver. The hotel has convenient access to Trimet bus lines reaching the suburban areas of metro-Portland. Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service by being engaging and taking sincere interest Check guests in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted and fulfilled, and accurate information is established Quickly task-switch at any given notice - from checking in guests, answering phones, resolving complaints, answering questions, review daily tasks, or make a cup of coffee Handle food, drinks, and stocking at our front desk cafe Assist guests with sending and receiving faxes, packages and mail Resolve problems through de-escalation and conflict resolution when things aren't quite right You will be committed to the equitable treatment of all associates and guests as well as equal access to opportunities and resources for all, at every level of the organization. You will value everyone's contribution to the team, and we will value your contribution as a key part of our success Become an expert on the local area, being able to answer inquires pertaining to hotel services, registration, shopping, dining, and travel directions Interact with hotel/resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information Requirements and Skills: High school diploma or equivalent Food Handlers card, within 30 days of employment A strong desire to make a positive impact on other people Excellent verbal and written English skills Communicate with an outgoing and engaging personality Ability to operate a hotel Property Management System and pick up computer skills easily as necessary Ability to stand for the duration of the shift Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our teams must be flexible with respect to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Note: This is a Part Time position with variable shifts.
