ZI272 - Full-Time Housekeeper - UES

Overview A busy family of 5 living on the Upper East Side of NYC, seek an experienced and professional full-time housekeeper for their 5-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom apartment  This is a live-out role for most of the time but the candidate must be able to accompany the family to the Hamptons in the Summer (from approximately Memorial Day to Labour Day), when the position becomes live-in.  The schedule is Wednesday through Friday, 9:30am-6:30pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 7am-7pm.   Responsibilities General housekeeping Deep cleaning Organising Laundry and ironing Very occasional light meal prep (for 3 children)  Qualifications A confident driver would be preferred but isn't essential It would be helpful if the successful candidate is comfortable around children and wouldn't mind occasional babysitting Requirements The ideal candidate is organised, responsible, extremely capable, and very detail-orientated.  This is a position for someone who loves supporting a family and maintaining the home to a high standard.  Candidates should: Demonstrate initiative and aptitude Have a 'no task is too small' mindset Be discreet - the family value their privacy and, with prior experience in a similar environment, you will be excellent at reading the room and knowing when to step back and allow family time Have knowledge of fine furniture, furnishings, and fabrics Demonstrate longevity in previous roles, the family would love for their housekeeper to remain with them for many years Be able to spend the summer period in the Hamptons as their live-in housekeeper Be fabulous team-players, able to work alongside other staff (nanny and nanny/hk) for the benefit of the family. Salary and Benefits From $36/hr, DOE Paid sick pay A stipend towards health insurance
