Job SummaryFerveret is seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Center Thermal and Mechanical Engineer to expand our development efforts in data center liquid cooling solutions. As a core member of the CTO team, you'll drive product design and innovation for high-density data center cooling solutions, with a focus on thermal optimization and energy efficiency. Data center cooling expertise and experience is critical. You will be at the forefront of innovation in data center sustainability and liquid cooling, shaping the future of this industry. Key ResponsibilitiesDrive the design and analysis of liquid cooling systems for data centers, including heat exchangers, pumps, cold plates, CDUs, and other critical components of the data center's cooling infrastructure.Optimize thermal performance and efficiency through advanced thermal modeling.Perform thermal analysis for liquid cooling solutions and drive improvements in energy efficiency and heat dissipation.Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of liquid cooling technologies into existing and new data center designs.Conduct testing and validation of thermal solutions, ensuring compliance with performance standards and regulatory requirements.Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in data center cooling to maintain Ferveret's competitive edge.Provide technical leadership in the selection of materials, components, and suppliers for liquid cooling systems.Drive continuous improvement in thermal management strategies to enhance overall system reliability and reduce operational costs.Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and performance analyses. Reports to CTO and Co-founder Matteo Bucci. QualificationsMaster's degree in mechanical engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field. PhD preferred.7+ years of hands-on experience in thermal management, with a focus on liquid cooling systems for data centers, electronics, or similar applications.CRITICAL: significant expertise in data center infrastructure and data center cooling technologies (direct-to-chip, immersion), including the practicalities of large-scale cooling system integration.Proficiency in thermal simulation tools (CFD, FEA, and flow system analysis) and experience with thermal modeling of complex systems.Experience in the design and testing of liquid cooling components, such as heat exchangers, cold plates, and pumps.Proven commitment to sustainability and understanding of its impact on cooling system design.
