We are currently seeking a collaborative, results oriented professional to join our Accounting/Admin team in the Portland office as an Accounts Payable Clerk with Administrative duties. At TLR we believe in doing anything to become the most loved and trusted provider of international services and finding team members that will help foster that vision is paramount to our success. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; obtaining authorization of payment; scheduling and preparing disbursements; preparing and mailing payments. Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions. Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions. Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation and adjusting as deemed appropriate. Accurate GL coding of expense invoices. Providing oversight of all office supplies, organization, maintenance and cleanliness. Clerical support to TLR's Business Operations Teams including scanning and filing. Receptionist accountabilities including greeting and assisting visitors and answering, directing and researching calls. Administrative assistance including, but not limited to, event assistance. Project based duties will be assigned on an ad hoc basis Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience Reconciliations and journal entries, variance analysis, and reporting GAAP knowledge Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & Access) and 10-key by touch Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects Exceptional time management and accuracy to meet deadlines Must have excellent work habits; be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills Must have a solid understanding of accrual accounting and posting transactions into the correct period. Desired Skills and Experience: Degree in Accounting, Finance or another related field preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills; internal and external clients Ability to deal with ambiguity and work unsupervised to get results Ability to work under stress and problem solve Ability to bend, stoop and stand for long periods of time Valid Driver License and reliable transportation Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds on an occasional basis
