JOB SUMMARY Under the direct supervision of the Director of Student Services, this position is responsible for working with students, instructional staff, and families to support the individualized behavior needs of students. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. • Provides one-on-one and small group support to individuals with behavior-based support needs. • Assists with providing one-on-one and small group support to individuals identified as needing support through the Response to Intervention (RTI) program. • Maintains accurate documentation of student interventions, service times, and progress, entering documentation at least weekly into SameGoal or other district-approved programs. • Maintains accurate documentation of student interventions, daily service times, and progress, entering documentation at least weekly into SameGoal or other district-approved programs and maintaining daily service time logs. • Consults with the classroom teachers to identify and implement teaching strategies and accommodations that support students' successful placement within the least restrictive environment. • Consults with parents, intervention specialists, general education teachers, and related services providers to complete ETRs, IEPs, 504 plans, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Behavior Intervention Plans. • Assists the general education teacher with creating and implementing behavior contracts for students. • In consultation with the Director of Student Services and support staff, leads and maintains an inschool alternative placement program with social-emotional support. • Assists with the implementation of whole-school and classroom-based classroom management systems and social-emotional programming. • Regularly conducts classroom walkthroughs of behavior management and social-emotional programming, presenting at weekly meetings with administration and instructional coaches. • Regularly conducts individual teacher coaching and mentoring on classroom management and socialemotional programming. • Develops and leads professional development to school staff on effective behavior management. • Participates on the school's crisis management and risk assessment teams. • Assists with mandatory mental health screenings and trainings for students. • Provides mentoring, supervision, and support to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). • Acts as the student's advocate to ensure the students' support needs are met. • Regularly assesses students and uses data to plan appropriate activities that support the development of strong social-emotional and behavioral skills and BIP goal attainment. • Establishes, documents, and maintains an ongoing system of communication with parents and teachers to relay positive and progress-related information about students. • Attends all Special Education meetings for students on their caseload. • Participates in additional training as designated by the Director of Student Services, Superintendent, and the district. • Assists teachers and other support staff with other special projects as necessary. • Assists with state and district testing for students who require testing accommodations. • Maintains online and paper copies of student Behavior Intervention Plans. • Participates in schoolwide teams and committees to promote holistic solutions to meeting student needs • Maintains high level of confidentiality, abiding by HIPAA & FERPA laws • Actively seeks out professional development opportunities and continuous improvement, remaining current in knowledge of best practices and research in area of practice • Additional duties and support as required by teachers, school staff, Superintendent, and the Director of Student Services, including but not limite
