Akkodis is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a Full-Time Permanent position with a client located in Columbia City, IN and ideally strong hands-on HVAC, PLC (Control Logix, Micro Logix, Compact Logix & SLC 500 - Rockwell software) and Automation Equipment Day one onsite Full-Time Permanent Salary Range: $80-110k/annum (no benefits) 3rd SHIFT - ONSITE The Maintenance Engineer will ensure that all maintenance tasks are performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards. The Role: Supervise and manage the maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work. Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory management. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformances related to product, process, and quality systems. Identify and record any problems related to the product, process, and quality system. Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels. Verify implementation of solutions. Control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming products until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. Your Qualifications: Experience with PLC's (Control Logix, Micro Logix, Compact Logix & SLC 500 - Rockwell software) - being able to understand ladder logic and make programming changes. Experience with automation equipment (i.e., industrial robots, AGV, vision systems) Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings. Experience in industrial maintenance practices and facilities management. Familiarity with HVAC systems and their maintenance requirements. Ability to supervise a team effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment. Excellent critical thinking skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and other departments. Associate Degree or Higher required. Experience with PLCs (Control Logix, Micro Logix, Compact Logix & SLC 500 - Rockwell software) - being able to understand ladder logic and make programming changes and experience with automation equipment (i.e., industrial robots, AGV, vision systems) is highly preferred.
