Senior Administrative Assistant - HIMCO This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in the Hartford, CT office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Overview of Position Provide administrative support for large number of HIMCO employees including members of HIMCO's senior executive leadership team. Typical Duties: Managing calendars and coordinating logistics for internal/external meetings including technological needs Assisting in travel arrangement and processing travel expenses Assisting in PowerPoint decks and p roofreading email correspondence, reports and presentations Providing coverage for the Staff Assistant of the President of HIMCO/HIG CIO Qualifications: Strong Communication Skills: Able to communicate effectively in a high-paced environment and to respond appropriately to various business inquiries with professional demeanor and discretion Team Player: Strong relationship skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization in an appropriate and time sensitive manner Interpersonal Skills : Able to collaborate and work well with others to form strong partnerships with key HIMCO constituents and the broader HIMCO administrative team IT/Software Skills: Candidate must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook and PowerPoint in particular and with working knowledge of Excel- willingness to learn Blackrock reporting is a plus Problem Solving: Ability to work independently to solve issues in a demanding environment with distractions and time pressures; able to prioritize key issues and triage multiple demands, utilizing discretion and judgment with uncompromising integrity Initiative: Ability to take the initiative to manage all aspects of executive level support. Ensure that team members have required information in advance of meetings. Take responsibility for projects as directed including activities such as compiling, analyzing, and summarizing data along with developing recommendations to improve workflow efficiency Education: College level degree or equivalent experience Experience: Prior administrative work experience required, any previous work experience in investment management industry, project management or insurance is a strong plus As a condition of your employment for HIMCO, you will be required to affirm to HIMCO's Code of Ethics and understand that you will be required to comply with the disclosure of accounts, holdings and pre-clearance of trades for the accounts of you and your household family members as more fully described in the Code of Ethics Key Points. Compensation The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
