Facilities Maintenance Technician - R111830 COMPANY DESCRIPTION: DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Job Description: Mars Wrigley- Elizabethtown, PA Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician Pay: Based on experience starting at $34/HR+ (plus additional $1.50 shift differential) What do we manufacture? Dove Chocolate Required Shift: * Rotating shift between 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift over a 5-week rotation * 5th week= 7 days off * Three (3) weekends off over five (5) week rotation * Monday- Friday Hours: 1st shift: 6:30am- 3pm; 2nd Shift: 2:30- 11pm; 3rd Shift: 10:30pm- 7am * Weekend hours: 6:30pm- 7am * Additional shift details can be discussed during the interview process Job Purpose: The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the operation of our boilers, chillers, air compressors, and fire protection systems. They will have to perform daily rounds and tests to inspect and record data of all departmental equipment in order to assure safe operation. What are we looking for? Minimum Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED * 18+ months in an industrial maintenance related role * Fundamental understanding of building commercial utilities operations (Ex: steam, air, boiler, electrical and/or refrigeration). * Understands Electrical concepts Physical Requirements: * Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) * Frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs) * Ability to work at heights off a ladder, scissor lift, boom lift or scaffolding, climb stairs * Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods * Able to read, write, speak and understand English Preferred Qualifications: * Technical Degree/Trade Certification * 3+ years of experience required in a boiler operations role * 3+ years' experience in an industrial maintenance role What will be your key responsibilities? * This role focuses on steam, compressed air, and refrigeration utilities (SAR). * Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance throughout the site and Utilities Dept. * Inspect equipment and determine technical solutions to problems and implement * Monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges * Record meter and gauge readings and operational data * Perform regular maintenance on equipment. * Record maintenance activities in SAP * Any ad hoc tasks Pay: * Starting pay based on experience $34/hr+ * Shift Differential: $1.50/hr (every shift) * $5K Sign On Bonus * OT potential * Annual bonus pay out * Annual merit increases Total Rewards: * Medical, vision & dental- Starts day one! * Up to 6% 401K match * Vacation time * Tuition reimbursement * Short/Long Term disability * 18 weeks parental leave What can you expect from Mars? * The opportunity to learn, develop and take charge of your own career. * An industry competitive salary and benefits package. * To be respected and valued. * The Five Principles at the center of every decision we make. * The opportunity to work cross functionally, add value and impact a better world for generations to come.
