Technical Support Engineer - Workload Automation will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting automation schedules across cloud and on-premises applications. This role requires expertise in scheduling tools, particularly IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler, as well as experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure. The engineer will work as part of an enterprise production support team, liaising with cross-functional teams to understand and translate technical requirements into automated job schedules. This position operates on a hybrid work schedule and will require rotational night and weekend support every five weeks. Key Responsibilities Support, maintain, and develop automation schedules for existing and future systems used across the enterprise, ensuring optimal operation in both cloud and on-prem environments. Collaborate globally across teams in the Americas and Europe, facilitating effective workload scheduling. Install, patch, and administer IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler Automation and other scheduling tools, including performance tuning to enhance tool productivity. Design, document, and implement major upgrades and migrations, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime. Create, develop, and secure schedules utilizing REST APIs and coordinate with various teams to deploy and validate new schedules. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve production failures, ensuring system reliability and high performance. Conduct impact analysis for new implementations on existing systems, documenting and executing contingency plans. Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and fostering solutions. Qualifications and Skills Minimum 8 years' experience with scheduling tools (e.g., IBM Workload Automation, Autosys). Strong proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly Azure. Extensive experience with RedHat Linux, AIX, Windows, and scripting languages (Bash, Shell, Python). Proven experience with REST API-based jobs and database technologies, including Oracle and SQL. Familiarity with MQ, XML, JSON, and complex flat files. Java development experience and ServiceNow experience are a plus. Additional Requirements Availability for on-call support on a rotational basis. Ability to adhere to change management processes, fostering an inclusive environment that values diversity and equity.
