Overview DOCS is looking for an Accounting Manager to handle key accounting responsibilities including accounting and operational finance duties. This role will play a key role in the company's success during a period of growth and evolution. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing the financial statement close process and the desire to work closely with other company departments to improve controls and financial operations. Responsibilities Manage accounting staff to perform and own the monthly accounting close process Collaborate with Finance & Accounting department to contribute to critical monthly financial reporting Evaluate and implement process improvements to expedite close and financial reporting Responsible for development and implementation of organization's internal controls, policies, and procedures; partner across functions to ensure key business policies are implemented and operating effectively Serve as technical GAAP accounting lead for the organization Participate in integration of all acquisitions; partner with Corporate Controller, CFO and third-party valuation firm to perform closing/opening balance sheet work Engage with external auditor to fulfill annual financial audit requirements Qualifications A minimum of 4+ years of progressive accounting experience BA or BS degree in Finance or Accounting required, CPA preferred Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while improving skill and experience level Energetic and positive attitude required to build relationships across the organization Public accounting experience preferred Prior experience in a multi-site environment and/or healthcare highly preferred Previous experience creating or significantly improving financial planning and forecasting Experience in M&A deals including due diligence as well as integration of financial systems Deliberate and reasoned thought process including analytical skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel) Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status
