ABOUT YOU As a Steam/Sprinkler Fitter (Bargaining Unit, Local 25) you are a technically proficient and safety-conscious individual with a strong background in low and high-pressure steam systems, high-pressure hot water piping systems, and fire protection systems. You excel in troubleshooting, possess meticulous attention to detail, and maintain precise maintenance logs. As an adaptable team player, you are proactive in addressing maintenance issues and communicating effectively with airport personnel and State Police as needed. Your mission is to ensure the efficient operation, safety, and reliability of essential airport piping and fire protection systems, contributing to the overall mission of Logan International Airport. What you will do: Repairs and maintains steam, hot water, and fire protection systems as directed. Conducts maintenance on piping and fire sprinkler systems, including installation, design, and valve repairs. Performs testing, inspection, and logs maintenance for all systems. Provides customer assistance and interacts with State Police as needed, alongside other assigned duties. WHAT YOU OFFER Ability to read, along with basic oral, written, and mathematical skills, coupled with manual skills and the ability to operate machinery. 3 - 5 years' experience in maintenance, repair and testing of low and high pressure steam, high temperature hot water and fire protection systems. Massachusetts Journeyman Pipe Fitters license.
