Security Operations Manager Are you a proactive leader with a passion for safety and security? We're seeking a dynamic Security Operations Manager to oversee our dedicated team of Security Associates. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Ensures the quality of operations in the Security Department on all shifts. Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the property. Protects company assets and gaming integrity through the consistent, thorough monitoring of all activities on property, particularly on the gaming floor. Directs the flow of Security Reports to the proper individuals within the company while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. Maintains appropriate staffing levels in the Security Department by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and terminating Associates, as needed. Reviews all Daily Activity Reports and prepares Shift Reports for Director of Security. Coordinates with the Surveillance Department when Security discovers a matter which needs further investigation or attention. Facilitates the flow of information throughout the department by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings. Observes, documents, videotapes and reports any unusual or suspicious activities on property. Regularly inspects the premises, identifying potential safety or security hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution. Reviews surveillance tapes and reports, providing detailed information to appropriate company officials and outside agencies, as needed. Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports Make suggestions and recommendations, as appropriate, with regard to possible changes in the policies and procedures of other departments, with the protection of company assets in mind. Activates/Deactivates employee and vendor badges based on communication from the HR Department. Maintain key logs and key inventory through Key Watcher. Performs administrative duties when Regional Director is not available. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages the activities of all Security and Shuttle Driver Associates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related area from a four-year college or university preferred. Two years supervisory experience in security and/or surveillance required. Must be a New York State licensed Security Guard. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of two years in law enforcement, security, loss prevention, surveillance, or related area required. Must possess excellent observational and communication skills. Must be able to detect any schemes or cheating activity aimed at the company or guests. Must be computer-literate (Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook and payroll applications).
