Printer III - Temp to Hire Location - Apopka, FL Availability - M - F, 7:00a - 5:30p Pay: $21.50/hr Printer III Job Summary The Printer III is a floor leader responsible for operating digital color printers and supervising other production staff in the absence of a supervisor. They possess expertise in digital printing and finishing processes, ensuring high-quality output while meeting deadlines. Key Responsibilities Operate digital color printers independently, including make-ready for complex jobs. Utilize software like Xerox FreeFlow to prepare and impose print files. Maintain color quality through knowledge of color management and industry standards. Inspect printed materials for accuracy and quality. Participate in customer service and maintain positive relationships. Manage workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Set up and operate various finishing equipment (e.g., stitching, folding, cutting). Maintain accurate job tracking logs and reports. Monitor paper and supply inventory, notifying supervisor of reorder needs. Assist supervisor in creating efficient workflows and achieving department goals. Required Skills and Experience 3-5 years of experience in a high-volume printing environment. Expertise in operating digital presses (e.g., Xerox DocuColor) for color and B&W printing. Proficiency in PC/Mac operating systems and Microsoft Office suite. Experience using various finishing equipment. Strong knowledge of color theory and quality standards (e.g., SNAP/GrayCol). Ability to troubleshoot electronic files and make minor color adjustments. Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and provide direction to others. Preferred Skills and Experience Minor maintenance experience for digital presses and finishing equipment. Knowledge of the FH Host system for order processing (hospital forms). Offset press experience. High school diploma or equivalent.
